Indonesia seems to get ready to welcome a new era after Pandemic Covid-19. Indonesia New Normal Era starts from a town “Bekasi” (West Java Province) that is assumed to be successful in controlling the outbreak. The casualties are going down and become (almost) at a zero point.

Ridwan Kamil (Governor West Java) said that many sub-districts in West Java had turned from COVID-19 red zones to green zones, which means the transmission in the area has been largely controlled and therefore, the areas could start adapting to the new protocols.

Tuesday, 27 May Mr. Jokowi (The President) visited Summarecon Mall in Bekasi, West Java to take a look at the mall’s preparations for its upcoming reopening under the so-called “New Normal Era” health protocols. The Government seems confident to take this strategic action (Economy reason) for the virus transmission rate in the city had decreased as a result of the city administration’s implementation of large-scale social restrictions (PSBB).

Mr President ensures everybody not to be ‘light-minded’ entering the new normal era. We must keep the Covid-19 protocols; wearing masks, social distancing, washing hands, hand sanitizer, disinfectant spraying and consume healthy foods-drinks (vitamin). Local Government must supervise people’s behavior all the time.

The Tourism sectors and industries are very welcomed to this decision, with following the healthy instructions and protocols. Bali Island, Yogyakarta, and other tourist areas are preparing the New Normal Era with improving their Standard Operational and Procedure to serve and provide customers. Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) will re-operate normally starting in June after some time. This new International Airport was hit by the outbreak at the same time as the opening.
